July 28—Crews to Move Traffic to New Bridge: This Friday evening, Blythe Construction crews will move traffic onto the new 29/49 bridge over I-85. In order to do this safely, crews will need to close the left lane on I-85 southbound between the 29/49 connector and Sugar Creek Road between 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday. Please be aware of this new traffic pattern.
After traffic is shifted onto the new overpass, the merge configuration onto 29/49 will remain the same until the end of the year.
Work will be dependent on weather.

July 26, 2004---Blythe Construction crews have scheduled a traffic shift on northbound I-85 this Saturday July 31. The traffic shift will occur between City Boulevard and W.T Harris Boulevard. Traffic will be shifted about 35’ toward the median. This area will be reduced to one lane between 7 p.m. Saturday night and 12 noon Sunday.
Crews hope to move traffic to new bridge: This weekend, Blythe Construction crews are planning to move traffic onto the new 29/49 bridge over I-85. Blythe Construction will confirm the date later this week.
Overnight lane closures the rest of this week: Monday July 26 through Friday evening July 30, crews will be moving barrier wall on I-85 northbound between City Boulevard and I-485. This area will be reduced to one lane between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

July 19, 2004—Blythe Construction crews will be performing two traffic shifts this weekend. The first will begin this Friday evening on I-85 southbound between W.T Harris Boulevard and City Boulevard. Traffic will be shifted toward the shoulder onto new southbound roadway. This area will be reduced to one lane between 9 p.m. Friday and 9 am Saturday.
The second traffic shift will begin this Saturday on I-85 northbound between Mallard Creek Church Road and I-485. Traffic will be shifted about 35’ toward the median. This area will be reduced to one lane between 7 p.m. Saturday night and 12 noon Sunday morning.Overnight lane closures the rest of this week:
Tonight (July 19), crews will be working northbound and southbound between W.T Harris Boulevard and Mallard Creek Church Road. Look for lane reductions in both directions between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Tuesday evening July 20, crews will be moving barrier wall on I-85 northbound and southbound between Mallard Creek Church Road and I-485. In order to do this safely, crews will need to reduce this corridor to one lane in each direction between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Wednesday and Thursday July 21 and 22, Blythe Construction crews will be moving barrier wall on I-85 northbound between Harris Boulevard and I-485. This corridor will be reduced to one lane between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights.

July 16, 2004--Monday evening July 19, crews will be moving barrier wall along I-85 northbound between Mallard Creek Church Road and I-485. In order to do this safely, crews will need to close the left lane of this corridor between 9 p.m. and 6 am Tuesday.

July 14, 2004--Saturday evening July 17, crews will begin an overnight traffic shift on I-85 southbound between I-485 and Mallard Creek Church Road. In order to perform this shift, crews will need to reduce this corridor to one lane between
7 p.m Saturday and 12 noon on Sunday.
Please note that another shift is scheduled for Saturday, July 24. It will be northbound between Mallard Creek Church Road and I-485.

July 8, 2004-- Tonight July 8, Blythe Construction crews will be working on I-85 southbound between the 29/49 connector and Sugar Creek Road. This corridor will be reduced to one lane between 9 pm and 1 am.

July 7, 2004- In July and August, Blythe Construction will perform four major traffic shifts (two northbound and two southbound) and move traffic onto the new 29/49 overpass on the I-85 widening project. Below is a tentative schedule for this work. Because these dates are subject to change, they will be confirmed no earlier than a week prior.
The two southbound shifts will move traffic to the right, onto the new highway. The first shift is scheduled for July 17 and will be from I-485 to Mallard Creek Church Road. The second southbound shift, scheduled for August 14, will be from Mallard Creek Church Road to City Boulevard.
The two northbound shifts will move traffic toward the median, allowing crews to work on the existing northbound lanes. The first of the northbound shifts is scheduled for July 24. It will occur between Mallard Creek Church Road and I-485. The second northbound shift will be from City Boulevard to Mallard Creek Church Road. It is scheduled for August 21. Once the shifts are complete, expect to see a lot of work both north and southbound .
Blythe Construction also plans to put traffic onto the new 29/49 overpass by the end of August. A date will be confirmed next month.

June 29, 2004--The left lane of southbound I-85 just past the I-485 exit will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and midnight tonight. Crews are closing the lane to repair a crash cushion.
June 28, 2004--Because of rain, Saturday’s minor ramp shift at Harris Boulevard and I-85 is being performed today until 12 noon. The Harris Boulevard east ramp to I-85 southbound will be shifted onto a slight detour. At the same time, the exit ramp from I-85 south to Harris Boulevard east will also be detoured. These detours will be in effect until new ramps are built.

At the same time, the exit ramp from I-85 south to Harris Boulevard east will also be detoured. These detours will be in effect until new ramps are built. These minor shifts will occur between 7 a.m. and 12 noon.

June 7, 2004—Tonight June 7, Blythe Construction crews will be resetting barrier wall on I-85 northbound and southbound at the I-485 interchange. The left lane will be closed in both directions in this area between 9 pm and 5 am. (Please note that this area is three lanes, therefore, there will be two lanes open during this closure).

June 1, 2004—Wednesday and Thursday evening June 2 and 3, Blythe Construction crews will be resetting barrier wall on I-85 northbound between I-485 and Speedway Boulevard. The left lane of this corridor will be closed both nights between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
On Wednesday evening June 2, also expect traffic delays along I-85 southbound between I-485 and Harris Boulevard between the hours of 12 midnight and 2 a.m. Crews will be moving heavy equipment through this corridor.
