Lane Construction crews (a sub-contractor of Blythe Construction) have begun pouring concrete in the north section of the I-85 Widening project. The following five photos show the tedious process of pouring and leveling concrete. These photos were shot in the evening between mile markers 47 and 49. Click on the images below to view.

The "texcure machine" completes the concrete surface by putting grooves in the concrete. This allows tires to grip the road.
